Setting up your payment gateway can feel overwhelming at first, especially when compliance and documentation are involved. The good news is that PayZeep’s payment gateway (Zeepway) onboarding process is structured and straightforward when you follow it step by step.
This guide walks you through everything clearly. Let’s walk through it together, one step at a time.
Step 1: Create Your ZeepWay Account
Start by visiting: Zeepway Portal Login
Click “ Sign up here” and fill in the required details:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- Password
If possible, use your business email address. It keeps your payment operations professional and organised from the start.
Once you click Create Account, your account is successfully created.
That’s your first win, now let’s secure it properly.
Step 2: Verify Your Email
An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to your registered email address.
- Open your inbox
- Enter the OTP exactly as received
- Complete the verification
If you don’t see it immediately, check your spam or promotions folder. This step ensures your account is protected and fully accessible.
Once verified, log in with your email and password.
You’re now inside your dashboard.
Step 3: Access the Dashboard (Test Mode)
After logging in, your account operates in Test Mode.
This allows you to:
- Explore dashboard features
- Integrate APIs
- Test payment flows
- Simulate transactions safely
Test Mode gives you room to set everything up properly without moving real funds. It’s your opportunity to get comfortable with the system before going live.
When you’re ready to start processing real transactions, the next step is activating your business.
Step 4: Activate Your Business (KYC Submission)
On your dashboard, click “Activate Business.”
Select your business type carefully, as your document requirements depend on this choice.
If You’re a Sole Proprietor
Prepare:
- TIN Certificate
- CAC Certificate of Registration
- CAC/BN/1 or E-Status Report
- Proof of Business Operating Address
- Utility Bill (not older than 3 months)
- Partnership Deed and Resolution (if applicable)
- SCUML Certificate (where applicable)
If You’re a Private Limited Liability Company
You’ll need:
- TIN Certificate
- CAC Certificate of Incorporation
- Certified True Copy (CTC) of Memorandum & Articles of Association
- CTC of Form CAC 1.1 or E-Status Report
- Proof of Business Operating Address
- Utility Bill (not older than 3 months)
- Operating License (where applicable)
- SCUML Certificate (where applicable)
- BVN and Date of Birth of all Directors and Shareholders
Before submitting, review your documents carefully. Ensure names match across records and that files are clear and up to date. Taking a few extra minutes here can save days of back-and-forth later.
Once submitted, your application moves into review, and you’re one step closer to going live.
Step 5: KYC Review and Approval
The Zeepway Compliance Team will review your documents.
Your application will either be:
- Approved, or
- Returned with feedback if corrections are needed
If feedback is provided, don’t be discouraged. Simply update the required details and resubmit. Many applications are approved quickly once corrections are made.
With approval granted, you’re ready for the final and most rewarding step.
Step 6: Go Live
After KYC approval:
- Your account becomes fully activated
- You can switch from Test Mode to Live Mode
- You gain full access to live transaction processing
This is where everything comes together. Your gateway is no longer in testing; it is ready to support real customers and real revenue.
Not every business owner makes the intentional decision to upgrade and professionalise their payment system, but you did, and that’s something to be proud of. Taking this step shows you’re thinking long-term about growth.
If at any point the process feels confusing or overwhelming, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Our support team is available to guide you, step by step, until you’re fully live and confident.
